SalusGate boasts several partnerships with facilities dedicated entirely to the management, monitoring and care of patients over 65 years of age. Specialist visits are carried out within these dedicated structures; the rooms are modern and air-conditioned, bright and welcoming, and a wide range of recreational and rehabilitation activities is guaranteed.
The rooms are equipped with an en-suite bathroom, electric beds, anti-decubitus mattresses, a TV-set, a telephone and Wi-Fi. They include outdoor green areas for patients and their families, isolated from the city traffic and also used for carrying out outdoor social-educational activities.
The multidisciplinary team of specialists performs preventive activities following healthy patients with the aim of keeping intact the functional and organic aspects of their health. As for the patients at risk, instead, is carried out the risk assessment of cardiovascular or metabolic diseases, depression, malnutrition and other typical problems of the elderly.
In general, a geriatric visit is recommended to all people over 65 years of age for framing and diagnosing pathologies of aging, such as mild cognitive impairment, depression, vascular dementia, hypokinetic syndromes.
